So here I am at last - 3 years later than planned, writing my first blog on this site.

I am first of all, grateful to all visitors and supporters of TheTutor Shop. I have been having a great time helping students since I first started tutoring full time in 2011.  Of course many of you know that I have been teaching and in fact, tutoring for many many years before that!

You might also have noticed the new inclusion on this site - yes my publications.  I've been working on my novel for the past five years.  It took three years in between teaching to finish the first draft and I've really been editing or the past two years.  This journey has been a blast for me and I can now say to the students that even I have to edit my work!  They tend to be extremely shocked when they hear how long it took to edit my 264 page book,.

The book deals with learning disabilities and acceptance,. It follows the adventures of 14 year Brandon through his first year of high school. I know this story will resound with students as well as parents who struggle to remember important details for tests, etc. It should ring bells for anyone who ever spent a dya in high school.
