Brandon has some serious concerns about starting high school, mostly because he has a learning disability and because he’s still waiting for puberty to kick in. School turns out to be everything Brandon feared it would be; he finds himself dealing with a growing collection of bullies, pressure to date the first girl that shows an interest in him, and Vice Principals. who aren’t too impressed by his behaviour. Brandon’s problems get worse when he suddenly finds himself dealing with some unexpected events that quickly get out of control. These events involve his friends as well as some of his new found enemies and he has a strange feeling that things aren’t going to end well. Brandon starts to wonder if he is even going to survive the year.
